Martin has worked in retail banking for 34 years. He started his career with AIB Bank and joined First National Building Society (subsequently First Active) in 1986 as Branch Manager at 40 O’Connell Street, Limerick. He focused mainly on wealth management and personal lending.

He became Regional Manager South – First Active in 2004, heading up the retail sales network for the south of Ireland.

He joined First Capital as Director – Business Development. He has worked on product development and sales and he has been instrumental in establishing the distribution network for the company.

He is a member of The Institute of Bankers in Ireland.
